The Reimo campervan Awning
Fitting an awning to your campervan is a wonderful way to extend the space available so you can enjoy the great outdoors even more. It’s perfect for the unpredictable British weather, giving you protection against light rain showers and shelter from the sunshine in an unexpected heatwave!
Our customers are always asking us about which awning is the best option for their specific campervan conversion. We’d always recommend a Reimo awning as they’re well built and extremely durable, making them useful for withstanding the windy weather that we’ve been experiencing recently!
A free-standing awning can be suitable for most campervan base vehicles, including the VW Transporter, Transit or VW Caddy, all of which we convert here at Love Campers.
Types of campervan awnings
Awnings can either be inflatable or pole-fitted. They can be a simple sun canopy like the one photographed above, or they could be in a more elaborate style that includes barriers like a proper tent. They’re great for creating a sheltered area so you can breathe in the fresh outdoor air. What campervanning is all about, right? 🙂

The height of your campervan awning
Reimo explains that the guideline for camper awnings is the same as the height of the rain gutter of the vehicle. We’ll work with you to choose the best awning for your base vehicle.
