Our Micro Camper and small van conversions make a great vehicle for weekend trips and holidays, which can also be used as your every day vehicle.
WHICH VAN SHOULD I BUY FOR A BASE VEHICLE?
We recommend you buy a new or nearly new vehicle if possible.
Buying a secondhand campervan in the UK can be a confusing business and lots of people get in touch with us for advice as we have so much knowledge on this subject.
We don’t sell used vans, but we have written a blog post to help you out with this process – What to Look for When Buying a Second-Hand Camper Van. The blog post contains top tips for choosing your used van, and the most important things to look out for in terms of determining the state of the base vehicle.
When it comes to sourcing a new or nearly new base vehicle for your camper conversion, we can do all the hard work for you.
Some of the base vehicles we recommend include the VW Caddy Maxi, VW Transporter, VW Crafter, Citroen Relay, Ford Transit, Nissan NV200 and Fiat Ducato.
We also recommend a whole range of electric vans that we can make into campers. These include the Toyota Hiace, Citroen E Dispatch, Fiat Scudo, Nissan E NV200 and the Volkswagen ID Buzz.
SHOULD I GO FOR A SMALL, MEDIUM OR LARGE CAMPER?
It’s important to think about what you’ll be using your campervan for. Ask yourself these questions before buying a van:
- How many people will it need to sleep?
- How many belted seats will it need?
- Where will I be parking my campervan and how much space is available?
- How much will the running cost of my van be?
- What will I be using my campervan for – shorter frequent weekend breaks, longer holidays or something more long term?
A car-derived van, or micro campervan, is an excellent option for those that want to have lots of short breaks away in their vans.

CAN YOU FIT A VAN WITH A BESPOKE DESIGN?
Love Campers build campervans to our own specific tried and trusted designs. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our Love Campers design range. Our designs make the best use of the space available for maximum functionality.
There is scope to add specified extras into your van to make it perfect for you, for example you may wish to add solar panels or extra windows. You also get the chance to customise the campervan interior with your chosen fabric, colour-scheme and wood finish options via our official Love Campers suppliers.
Throughout the customer journey, we share our designs in more detail with you and make recommendations on what we feel would suit your needs best.
We tend not to describe our conversions as fully “bespoke”, and if you have a very specific design in mind you may prefer to use a different conversion company or try building your own van from scratch!
HOW LONG IS YOUR WAIT LIST?
As a small and highly experienced team our van build queue gets booked up in advance. However, we currently have spaces available so please get in contact.
It’s worth getting in touch as soon as you know you’d like a campervan because often things will change in our calendar and we can squeeze you in to a last minute spot!
Don’t forget that we often have vans available for immediate sale that are ready to drive away, so we may already have something that fits the bill for you sitting in our workshop!

Please note these are our conversion-only starting prices. You will need to factor in the cost of your base vehicle. If you require optional extras we will create a quote for you depending on your specific needs.
DO YOUR VANS COME WITH A WARRANTY?
Yes, all our camper vans come with a comprehensive 12 month European roadside assist warranty covering both the van and the campervan, as standard. This can be upgraded to up to three years (36 months). Find out more on our Aftercare & Warranties page.
CAN I SEE YOUR VANS IN PERSON?
We love to invite potential customers to see our campervan conversions in person. Please get in touch to organise an appointment. We also frequently arrange video calls where we can show you the vans in the workshop and introduce you to the team.
CAN YOU FIT A POP-TOP ROOF?
Yes. We are experienced fitters of pop-top roofs for a variety of campervans, including VW Caddy Campers, VW Transporters and Ford Transit Customs. However, we usually cannot fit pop-top roofs into a van which is already converted.
We fit a variety of roofs and are one of the few workshops in the UK who can supply and fit Reimo pop-top roofs.
CAN YOU FIT SOLAR PANELS?
Yes. We regularly fit solar systems into people’s campervans, and are recommended by Bimble Solar. As recommended fitters we know that the panels we fit to your van will be fit for your purpose whether you are looking for serious off-grid time or just the occasional back up!
CAN YOU FIT EXTRA WINDOWS?
Yes. If you choose to have a full van conversion by us we can fit additional windows, including porthole windows.

CAN YOU FIT A BED?
Yes. We can fit a Rock & Roll bed into your campervan. Our beds make the most of the space available and often fold away.
